Studio Family Sessions – Timeless and stress-free. No weather worries, no wind-blown hair (unless we use a fan!), and we can plan for any time of day! These sessions are modern, relaxed, and full of movement—far from stiff or overly posed - and the finished pieces look amazing with all home designs.

Outdoor Family Sessions – For families who love the golden glow of nature. These sessions are seasonal and require planning around light and weather, but the results are stunning.

Generational & Legacy Sessions – Including grandparents or extended family? I love capturing these meaningful portraits. We can plan for a classic full-family portrait, candid moments, or a mix of both.

If you want that beautiful golden-hour glow, late spring, summer, and early fall are ideal. However, the best light for outdoor sessions is right before sunset, which often falls past young children’s bedtimes - something to consider when choosing your session type. Studio sessions are a great alternative since they allow for complete scheduling flexibility, without the bugs!

Don’t worry, this part is overwhelming for most of our clients - I help with all of this! We’ll have a design consultation before your session where we’ll go over outfit ideas, and I even have clients texting me from the mall for advice. The goal is to choose outfits that complement each other, feel natural to your family’s style and won’t be cringe-worthy in upcoming years.

For studio sessions, outfit changes are easy and can add variety to your portraits. Outdoors, quick changes can be trickier, but layering is a great way to switch up the look without a full wardrobe change.

Absolutely. Including grandparents makes for incredibly meaningful portraits. Studio sessions are often the best choice for older family members who need a comfortable, accessible environment. These portraits become cherished heirlooms for generations, so I always make sure to capture both classic and candid moments.

And yes! Your four-legged family members are always welcome. 

That depends on what you’re looking for! Most sessions last about 1-1.5 hours. I work efficiently to get a variety of images without exhausting little ones. But your day is yours, no one is waiting to follow behind you.

If little ones need time to warm up and need breaks, you have all the time you need. Outdoor sessions are a little more time sensitive because we are working in the last hour before sunset.

That’s completely normal! I never expect kids to “perform” for the camera. My sessions are designed to be playful and relaxed so kids feel comfortable and engaged. And because your session is not timed, the stress-factor is gone. 

You’ll get to see your images within two weeks at your viewing appointment, where we’ll design a collection of your favourites. Afterwards we will begin our custom editing - every image you receive is fully edited in our cinematic style so every one of your pieces looks like it stepped out of a magazine.
